Who Should Join Shibumi?

Anyone can become a member of Shibumi as long as the requirements listed below are agreed to and upheld. You do not need to be a Reiki practitioner to join at the Member level. There is no requirement of time between levels as Shibumi believes it is not the matter of time which defines whether a member is ready to be registered at a new level but that member’s expertise. Shibumi attempts to support a high level of Reiki expertise for registered members by providing them with requirements for them to comply with.

How many levels of Membership are there? There are three levels of membership within Shibumi.

  • Everyone who joins Shibumi initially enters at the basic level of Member.
  • After joining you can easily upgrade your membership to Registered Practitioner (RP) or Registered Practitioner & Teacher (RP&T) by logging into your Account and changing your Role under “Extra Profile Information”. Make sure you comply the Shibumi Codes of Practice and Ethics and Criteria first. There is no fee associated with becoming a RP or RP&T.
  • You can change your level of membership at any time from your Account where you can include business information, a 250 word Maximum biography and a logo or photo so that new clients or students can see who you are.
  • Shibumi reserves the right to confirm that you have complied with the association’s requested criteria.
